Juniors

Ballyneety Junior golfers Morgan O'Sullivan and Iestyn Winn have had a busy season. The boys were part of the  Munster U14 interprovincial team who were victorious in Slieve Russell. The boys have just returned from England where they  represented Ireland in the prestigious Reid Trophy.

They have been practicing hard throughout the winter and into the season with Munster Interprovincial coach Fred Twomey, availing of the academy facilities in Fota Island and our own Donal Mc Sweeney providing further coaching support to Iestyn.

The boys represented Ballyneety in the Fred Daly team they also qualified in the Irish junior foursomes, and represented the club at senior level in both the junior and senior cup teams this year.

Iestyn and Morgan also attend school together in John the Baptist Community School (Hospital), and managed to qualify for the Munster Final of the GUI School's competition, John the Baptist's first ever entry.

They have both conducted themselves with the utmost professionalism and have been great ambassadors for the club, Munster and Ireland.

We wish both Iestyn and Morgan continued success and hope the experience gained in participating at this level continues to blossom. Well done lads, and to your parents for giving you the opportunity, encouragement and support to be able to play at international level.
