Please read this document in conjunction with the GUI/ILGU Protocol document (see link below). It is critical that ALL members continue to familiarise themselves on an ongoing basis with these GUI/ILGU Protocols.

‘While everyone may have an opinion on what should be done, full compliance with the measures in place is essential’. (P2 Protocols). We ask members to be considerate, patient, stay safe and take care to spread only kindness.

If you have a cold or any symptoms of COVID-19 stay away from the golf course and clubhouse.

  • The Government will continue to monitor the situation pertaining to golf and the agreed protocols must be adhered to.
  • Members are requested to adhere to Government Guidelines including guidelines relating to travel & distance restrictions.
  • There will be access to toilet and hand-washing facilities within the Clubhouse. Members are requested to bring their own hand sanitizer and use often.  Locker rooms will be closed.
  • Members are requested to limit the number of tee times booked to a maximum of three (3) per mid-week (Monday – Friday) and once (1) EITHER Saturday or Sunday (not both). This is to ensure that all members are accommodated and this will be reviewed on an ongoing basis.
  • Marshal/Ranger on duty

  • The timesheet will open Tomorrow Thursday at 10am for Monday 18th to Sunday 24th in line with (Phase 1) Government Guidelines, and every Thursday at 10am after that for following weeks booking.
  • Members MUST book tee times in advance online (BRS Booking System) or by contacting the Golf Shop (061-351881) 8.15am to 6pm.
  • Tee times available  Monday to Friday 7.30am to 8.30pm / Saturday and Sunday 7am to 8.30pm
  • Play is restricted to Members only (No Guests).
  • Members who have unpaid subscriptions will be unable to access BRS and should contact the office about arranging payment.
  • All names MUST be entered on timesheet to assist with Contact Tracing.
  • Play is permitted in Three-Balls at 14 minute intervals.
  • NO Four-Ball play is permitted at any time.
  • Junior Members (U/18) MUST be accompanied by an adult member. Wherever possible, junior members should play with members of their own household. Any booking for Junior members needs to be made by phone.
  • Members are requested to book only three tee times per weekdays (Monday-Friday) and one tee time on weekends EITHER Saturday or Sunday (not both). If members don’t comply with this rule disciplinary action may follow.
  • Tee time intervals have been extended to 14 minutes between groups to assist with

physical distancing guidelines.

  • When possible we encourage members of the same household to play together, rather than split into mixed groups.

  • Members should not arrive at the Club more than 15 minutes before scheduled tee time.
  • Every member must make their presence known at the golf shop  before commencing their round of golf– one-way system in place so follow the signs. Enter through the main lobby and enter golf shop while confirming your arrival to shop staff so they can record your attendance on the BRS. DO NOT LOITER or DELAY CHATTING. The confirming of attendance is to facilitate contact tracing and the golf club is obliged to retain time sheets ‘for a period of six weeks’. Bring an additional €2 and play SPLIT the POT. We need the funds!.
  • Where possible, members are asked to leave a parking space free between each car to facilitate physical distancing in the car park.
  • Members are requested to observe physical distancing and refrain from congregating in groups in the Car Park.
  • Putting Green and Chipping areas are closed.
  • Driving Range is open. Contact Driving Range on 061 352785.
  • Limited number of Buggies available. Pre booking is essential and priority will be given to Seniors / impaired mobility (one person per buggy), €15. No electric trolleys. Pull trolley available €4. Please bring your own coin.
  • Bring your own hand sanitizer to the course and use regularly.

  • The golf course is in pristine condition thanks to Marion HGK and her team. Please help us to maintain this high standard. Replace divots (no divot bags or volunteers for the foreseeable future). Repair pitch marks and smooth bunkers with your shoe or golf club.
  • Course staff will repair divots on the Par 3’s.  Course will provide Divot mix at various intervals.  It would help greatly if members brought a small plastic bag and small garden/plastic shovel, to fill with divot mix and repair your divot on the fairway.  We are looking into a more sustainable solution.

All play MUST commence from First Tee

Groups restricted to 3 balls at 14 min intervals.

It is planned to have a marshal/ranger present to monitor members on arrival.

However, a degree of personal responsibility is called for as COVID-19 hasn’t gone away. Failure to adhere to these protocols may result in the golf course being closed.

Members are requested not to arrive at the First Tee more than 5 minutes before scheduled tee time and/or not to approach the First Tee until the group before has reached the fairway.

Tee time intervals must be observed to ensure adequate distancing between groups.

Scorecards, pencils and divot bags will not be available (Phase 1).

  • Physical Distancing of 2M must always be observed on the golf course.
  • Players should not approach any tee until the group in front have reached the fairway.
  • Do not exchange or share equipment, food or drinks with playing partners.
  • There will be no rakes in bunkers.
  • Members are asked to smooth over the sand with their foot and/or club.
  • Flags will be on the greens, but the cups will be raised.
  • Please do not touch/remove the flag at any time or touch the cup
  • No Rubbish Bins on course, leave only your footprints!
  • Avoid slow play

Avoid post round handshakes.

No air hoses available for removing grass from trolley.

Members are asked to leave the Club immediately after completing their round.
